However, I think it’s too difficult to choose a winner. So, which album will take the victory for this edition of Battle of the Albums? Both Midnight Memories and Four consist of amazing tracklists, and they are my two favorite albums from One Direction. In my opinion, I wouldn’t skip any of the songs on Four unless I’m not in the mood to listen to slower songs. Even though I don’t think it shows as much of a change in the band as Midnight Memories does, it still has a variety of songs on the tracklist. If I’m being honest though, I enjoy every song on Four.

My favorite songs on Four are “No Control,” “Stockholm Syndrome,” “Clouds,” and “Act My Age.” Similar to my favorite songs from Midnight Memories, these songs are a mood booster, and I listen to them whenever I have my own dance parties while doing chores around the house. Not only are the songs different, but the band members also changed their clothing style and took a step towards maturity in their music.Īlthough I really enjoy Midnight Memories, I think Four is also just as good of an album. I think Midnight Memories was a turning point for One Direction because the songs on the album have such a different feel compared to their first two albums, Up All Night and Take Me Home. My favorite songs on Midnight Memories are “Best Song Ever,” “Midnight Memories,” “Happily,” and “Through the Dark.” These four songs are my favorite because they boost my mood whenever I listen to them since they are so upbeat. In my opinion, Midnight Memories is one of One Direction’s best albums out of the five that they have released. Midnight Memories mainly consists of upbeat, pop/rock songs whereas Four has a mix of both upbeat and slower songs. Four was released in 2014, with a 16 song tracklist on the deluxe edition, and a length of approximately 57 minutes.

Although the band hasn’t released new music since 2015 due to their hiatus, I will be comparing two of their old albums, Midnight Memories and Four, for this edition of Battle of the Albums.
